Our vintage mantas/frazadas are unique one of a kind textiles that are hand woven in Peruvian villages throughout the andean mountain region. They are primarily woven from sheeps wool, but some of the neutral colors may contain alpaca wool. The vibrant colors are transformed using natural dyes. We source these textiles throughout Peru. The textiles were originally used as blankets, but have seen them used in many areas of the home for area rugs, runners, blankets, throws or used to reupholster furniture. The mantas are made in two separate pieces due to the size of the looms and are then sewn together. They may be separated to be used as two different pieces. Our pillow covers are created from these vintage textiles that we select in our travels to South America and are sewn by a family in Peru.
