Alpaca wool was originally used in ancient tribes in the Andean highlands throughout South America. For generations the alpaca wool has been used to make a variety of clothing items and blankets. The wool is lightweight yet warmer than most other wools. The alpaca wool is combined with acrylic to create wonderful throws. The items are 60% alpaca wool & 40% acrylic. The throws are manufactured by a small family business in Ecuador.
